Special Issues in Scientific Journals

IE2027 is developing journal special issues opportunities for substantially extended versions of selected conference and workshop papers. The issues are also intended to welcome original contributions from the wider research community through open calls.

The planned issue in the Journal of Ambient Intelligence and Smart Environments (JAISE) is close to confirmation, subject to final formal agreement. The other three proposed issues remain under negotiation with the respective journals and are not yet confirmed.

Proposed title: Human Sensing and Assistive Interaction in Intelligent Environments

Submission and publication

Conference-derived submissions will need to cite their original publications and provide substantial additional contributions in accordance with the relevant journal’s requirements. An invitation to submit an extended paper does not imply acceptance; all manuscripts will undergo the journal’s review process.

Confirmed calls, submission instructions, deadlines and publication conditions will be announced here as agreements are finalised.
